PILLING ST JOHN’S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY NEWSLETTER
8th February 2019
As you are aware, Mrs Wigley has been on sick leave since December 2018. Mrs Wigley has recently resigned from her employment at school. We wish her well for the future.
In the best interests of the children and staff team, Miss Phillips will continue to manage the school as Acting Headteacher until the vacancy has been recruited to. The Governing Board will work hard to ensure that we have a permanent Headteacher in post from September. Mrs Pearson will continue to teach Cedar class until the end of this school year.
We took some children from Beech class to take part in the inclusion festival at Millfield High school. The children all showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship and came third! We were really proud of them and they were a credit to yourselves and the school.
PTFA Cinema Night
A massive thank you to the PTFA for organising such a lovely cinema night for the children. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and sang their hearts out.
The Greatest Me Drama Workshop
On Friday 15th February there will be a drama workshop in school. Please send your child to school dressed as ‘The Greatest Me’. They may wish to wear something that represents something that makes them great, i.e. gymnastics outfit, football kit, art apron, taekwondo belt, Brownie uniform.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Education Sunday service. They performed beautifully and were a shining example of what amazing children we have at Pilling St John’s CE school and nursery.
