Friday Newsletter – 08.03.19

8th March 2019

We have had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. The children have loved being in their favourite book character outfits and they all looked amazing.

Ash Wednesday Service

A special thank you to Revd. Judith and Revd. Dyllis for coming into school to lead our Ash Wednesday service. The children and staff really enjoyed the worship.

Family afternoon this Tuesday

We are celebrating everything that is great about Pilling St John’s and thinking about our vision and hopes for our young people. You are invited into school for refreshments and discussions on the 12th March from 2:30pm. During this time, we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the vision, values and ethos we create in school. There will be activities set up in each classroom as well as in the hall. There will be a short introduction at 2:30pm in the hall before the activities start.

Non-uniform for St Patrick’s

As St Patrick’s collected the most house points last half term, they will have their non-uniform day on Thursday 14th March. We have had to change this due to Red Nose Day.

Red Nose Day

Friday 15th March is Red Nose Day. To help raise money, the children will be asked to wear something red and bring in a £1 donation. Donations will be collected at the school gates.

Parents’ evening

Parents’ evening will be held on Tuesday 2nd April from 3:30pm-7pm. A form has gone out on ParentMail to allow you to request your time slot to meet with your child’s class teacher.
