It is now only two weeks until the end of the school year!
Please remember our Alien Invasion on Monday July 9th. Unfortunately due to the timings of the aliens arrival we have had to cancel church once again. We are really sorry about this. Please do ensure your children are well covered with suncream as some activities will be outside. We have borrowed large tents to provide shade.
Intergalactic police will be screening the aliens as they arrive! The children (aliens) will need their passports filled in to enter the school premises. Passport Control will be located at the side gates. Y6 children who were at Saint Aidan’s will have special dispensation and will not need passports.
Please remember you are invited at 3.15 to buy Space Food and talk to the children about what they have been learning.
Thank you to the PTFA for providing free ice lollies for all the children on Monday. Thank you also to Mr Marr, Mrs Gough and all the staff for preparing such an enjoyable morning.
The forecast remains hot next week so as last week, the children are fine to continue to wear cool clothing. Once the weather begins to cool again we will revert back to uniform but will let you know beforehand. We will continue to modify the timetable to protect the children from the heat.
Please send your children into school with any materials that can be recycled during the day. We are thinking about items such as cardboard tubes, cereal boxes, packaging etc.
The Gruffalo event takes place on Thursday 12 July between 4 and 5.30. The Gruffalo is very excited about coming to meet all the children in the woods. Please invite as many people as you can think of who might like to come. Kit Lanyard from Knott End library will also be visiting to read stories.
The children in YR,1 2 and 3 are travelling to Blackpool Zoo on 16 July. If you haven’t done so already please send back your completed Medical forms.
Reports will be sent out on 16 July 2018
Please remember the KS2 performance of Aladdin on 18 July. There will be two performances at 2pm and again at 6pm. We will be selling programmes for £1.00 on entry.
Eagland Hill Coffee Feast
Please note that this will start at 10 o’clock not 2 o’clock as previously advertised.
Please note that the AGM will change from Mon 9th to Tues 17th to be held at school drop off time. Remember Ice lollies are being sold on Friday 13th after school 50p each.
Moving On Service
The moving on service takes place at 9.15 on Thursday 19th July at St John the Baptist Church. Please book a lunch to share with your child.
If your child or you know a child who received a cup at the moving on service last year could we ask you to return them to school by Wednesday 11th July.
