The Great Fire of Forest Schools
This week Mountains had a great time using everything they’ve learnt about the Great Fire of London at Forest Schools.
We used our safe fire skills and knowledge of the fire triangle to build and light our fire. Then, like the bakery on Pudding Lane, we used the fire to cook delicious damper bread.
After that we used Year 2s hand drawn houses to recreate a 1666 London Street before setting fire to it to see how important leaving fire breaks between the buildings is.
A happy, smoke-filled afternoon.
