The Queen's Green Canopy
On Wednesday, as part of our science work on plants, we had a special visitor. Charlotte from Myerscough came to plant a tree with Mountain Class as part of the celebrations for the Queen's Jubilee. The tree we planted is a Scots Pine - the only native tree to Great Britain. We can't wait to see how big it will get as we go through school!
Forest School Friday
This week we had a busy session at Forest Schools. We helped Mrs Ward by collecting all the leaves at the front of school together and building a giant leaf bonfire in celebration of bonfire night. But of course, you can't create a giant pile of leaves without having a go at jumping in them! And what's a leaf bonfire without some chocolate sparklers to sample?
We love autumn!
